How does this work?

Browse the list of enquiries posted by companies and individuals for the ones you would be insterested in, or have quoteafire.co.uk send you an e-mail anytime a new project is posted that fits under your Expertise.Please note if you have registered your interest in particular category or manufacturer then an automated email is instantly sent by system sooner some one is looking what you registered so do not forget to tick all boxes of your interest when registering as a .Then you can decide to place a bid on the enquiry, as well as provide details of the work or delivery time. Update or retract your bid anytime you want. When the Buyer chooses an Expert (winning bid) you will be notified. If you are chosen you can begin with delivery arrangements and get paid direct.

How much does this cost?

There is no signup fee and no monthly fee, but you are required to pay a commission on each project you win a bid on and good news is that it is absolutely free at the moment. The commission in future may be 1% of your bid or £5 , whichever is greater. You will also get a £5 signup bonus when you register on our site.

How do I communicate with Buyers?

You can post messages on the personal message boards (PMB). If you post a private message, only the user it's addressed to will be able to see it, that user will also be notified by e-mail that you posted an enquiry for them. While discussing the job or product details, please do not post email / instant messenger or other details so as to bypass the site message board.It can result in cancelling your account.

ENQUIRIES AND BIDS

How do I place a bid on a project?

Click on the "Place Bid" button which you can find on the enquiry page (there's one above and another below the list of current bids).

How do I update a bid I already placed on a project?

Just submit a new bid and your old one will automatically be removed from list of bids others have placed.

How do I cancel a bid I placed?

Log in to the account management area, find the enquiry, and click on the "retract bid" link.

What if I have a question about an enquiry (that will help me place my bid)?

Just post a message on the message board for that enquiry. You can access enquiry specific message boards by clicking on the link provided on the enquiry page.

Why can't I find the "Place Bid" button on the enquiry page?

If the enquiry is closed it does not show up, because bidding has ended. It will also not show up if the enquiry is frozen, which means bidding has temporarily been stopped.

What is "bid for the total enquiry "?

This is the amount that you will charge the enquiry creator, if you are chosen. It's an enquiry total delivered price.

What if I can't make an accurate bid? Can I just estimate how much I will charge for the delivery?

You should not make any estimates. The information provided should be enough to decide how long it will take you to deliver this item. If there is not enough info, use the message board to ask additional questions to the enquiry creator before placing your bid. Remember, by placing a bid you enter into a legally binding contract. If you abuse this system you risk receiving poor reviews by others, and possibly being banned from quoteafire.co.uk .

PAYMENTS AND FEES

When do you charge your commission and how much will it be?

As soon as you are chosen as an Expert for a job or supply of an itemt you have bid on it will be closed/archived and you will be charged 1% of your bid, or £5, whichever is greater (FREE AT THE MOMENT).

Do I have to add money to my account?

Not right away, but eventually you will probably have to. If your account balance is below zero pounds for more than 30 days your account will be frozen. You will not be able to place any new bids on enquiries.

If I end up charging the Buyer less than I bid on their project, can I get a partial refund on the commission charged ?
